# Extract company data from Google Maps

Turn Google Maps company listings into a checked CSV for Google Sheets

Run now on Mac](/content/start/index.html)

## Still copying company details from Google Maps?

### What this task does

You run this task with Incredible to extract company data from a Google Maps search or individual listing. It reads public listing details and saves a CSV with one row per company, ready to open in Google Sheets or import into a CRM.

### The problem

Sales teams and founders can lose hours opening Google Maps listings and copying business details by hand. Building a usable company list means repeatedly switching between Maps and a spreadsheet.

### The solution

Incredible finds companies in your Google Maps search and extracts their listing data in the same order each run. You get a checked CSV containing structured company records.

## This is what you give

- **Search term or listing URL:** coffee shops

## This is what you get

- **Company name:** Acme Coffee Co

## How it works, step by step

1. **Install Incredible.** Get the Incredible desktop app for Mac or Windows and drag it into your Applications folder. You only do this once.

2. **Press fn and say what you want.** Hold the fn key and say it in your own words: "Extract company data from this Google Maps search into a CSV". Release the key, and Incredible gets to work.

3. **Incredible reads company listings in Google Maps.** Incredible opens your Google Maps search or listing, moves through the results and reads each company's public details. It saves the records as a CSV and opens it in Google Sheets to check the columns and rows.

4. **Your company data is ready as a CSV.** The CSV appears in Downloads with one row per company and fields such as name, address, phone number, website, category, opening hours, rating and review count.

## Frequently asked questions

- **How can I extract company data from Google Maps automatically?**
Use Incredible to open a Google Maps search, read the company listings and save the data as a CSV in Downloads. It then opens the CSV in Google Sheets to confirm that it parses into columns and contains one row per company collected.

- **Does this Google Maps data extractor use the Places API?**
No. This task reads Google Maps pages in your existing browser rather than calling the Places API, so there is no API key to provide.

- **Can I import Google Maps company data into a CRM?**
Yes. The finished run creates a CSV that you can open in a spreadsheet or import into a CRM. It includes listing data such as company name, address, phone number, website, category, opening hours, rating and review count.

- **Can I use Google Maps company data for sales outreach?**
The CSV contains public Google Maps listing details, but collecting data and contacting businesses are separate responsibilities. Google's terms govern automated collection, and you are responsible for applicable privacy and outreach rules.

- **What happens if Google Maps extraction cannot finish?**
If a Google Maps extraction step cannot be completed, Incredible stops the run and reports what happened instead of guessing. The finished CSV only contains data that was actually read from Google Maps.

- **Is customer data used to train Incredible?**
No. Customer data is not used to train Incredible.
